ABOUT US

Engage was set up with the key objective of harnessing the power of engagement to inform, inspire and influence society. We do this by providing a platform for ordinary and              extra-ordinary individuals to share their thoughts, ideas and experiences, through music and speech.

Engage is not a showcase of great speakers but an eclectic mix of renowned, accomplished individuals who have shaped various sectors and largely unknown but exciting individuals who are transforming society right where they are.

CURATORS

Engage was conceived in 2015 by Agatha Juma and Donald Bosire who observed that there was a need to create a platform outside the Toastmasters environment that gives ordinary and extraordinary individuals an opportunity to tell stories and share experiences that inform, inspire and influence society. Engage presents a convergence of storytelling, experiential learning and music. The first Engage was held on February 14th, 2015 and was themed ‘What’s love got to do with it’

Since then, the cast of speakers has broadened to include thought leaders, corporate executives, entertainers, scientists, teachers, blue chip company CEO’s and many others

THE ENGAGE EXPERIENCE

In the last 5 years, Engage has grown from a novel idea to a powerful platform for budding and accomplished speakers, talented upcoming musicians and a great place to connect and network with the ever-growing audience of 350 to 400 individuals. Engage is held bi-monthly at the Braeburn Theatre on Gitanga road which has a seating capacity of 400 people. Each show is a 3 hour eclectic mix of memorable speeches and scintillating music performances from young and upcoming artistes. Each session has 5 speakers and they each have 9-12 minutes to make their presentation.
